Beth Ditto designs for Evans

I don’t really listen to popular music, or think much to the artists, but I find Beth Ditto quite amazing. I’ve seen her perform several times now and I just think her voice is astounding.

Recently she has become something of a fashion icon, especially amongst larger women, by stripping off for Love and NME, doing various photo shoots and now designing her own range for Evans.

Beth Ditto for Evans is a mixture of edgy, electric pieces meant to make larger women see that only the sky is the limit when it comes to fashion.
Many plus size fashionistas have been awaiting this edgy range that is collaboration between the UK plus size retailer and the indie rocker, as Beth has been the full-figured girls’ fashion icon for years now and it was only a matter of time before she made her mark in the fashion industry. All items have been inspired by Ditto’s personal style, and The Gossip front woman has also been heavily involved in the creation of the range. The line, which is a mixture of edgy pieces and trendy staples, includes: printed leggings, jumpsuits and bodycon dresses, with a whole lot of sequins and attitude.

Beth Ditto for Evans is not for the woman that wants to blend into the background, it’s for ladies that want to be seen and who are proud of their figure. The singer herself has often stressed that her fashion is not for the average woman and for those who try to pass by unnoticed. Certainly, Ditto’s collection won’t go unnoticed, laden with electric colours and studs, the combination draws the eye immediately. Beth Ditto for Evans is nothing short of stylish extravagance that follows the current trends with a twist of rebellion. It is this that Beth believes, will make larger women accept that they too are beautiful and can be extremely trendy no matter how much they weigh.

Upon launch, Beth Ditto said, “Designing this line is a dream come true. I wanted to make something special, just for us, something never seen before. I hope the clothes inspire you to think outside the box. After all, boxes are square and in more ways than one we are not.”

The punk inspired range is available in stores this month, sizes 14-32. Prices start at £18.
